Featured client: The Shermans (and baby N!)

I was giddy when I learned I was going to be able to work with one of my favorite Seattle families.  One of the reasons I love Betsey is that she was among the first people to welcome us into Seattle with open arms.  We have worked together several times, and it’s always a lovely, rewarding and fun experience.  Betsey has her own small business, Ellie Bluebell Designs.  She crafts sassy and clever cards.  But her talents don’t stop there: she also has a line of “Smells” and a Rosemary Salt that both my husband Ryan (who helped on this session) and I use on a daily basis.  Her cute online shop has all of them!

And there is baby N.  She’s a precious, smart and adorable little girl, whom I have been photographing since she was a newborn.  It’s amazing to see her grown up so fast, and I’m proud to say I’ve documented part of that process.  She is one of my favorite Seattle subjects: just take a look at her beautiful face and her expressions in these photos.  You see what I am talking about?

These are just a few photos of a great series with The Shermans, at Seattle’s beloved Golden Gardens Park.  I am a fortunate photographer because I get to have wonderful people in front of my lense who are dear friends, and we get the most breathtaking—and sometimes quirky—outdoors to make images like these happen.
